I kicked off the year the same way I always do. I handed out thousands of tracts at First Night in downtown Pittsburgh and shared the gospel with as many people as possible. This is always a great event. People are just walking around checking things out. People where very willing to stop and talk. We talked to at least 20 people each.
At Slippery Rock we handed out hot Chocolate and gave out the gospel. It was really cold outside so we decided to do something different. We handed out Bible Study invitations with a gospel message on the back with each cup of hot chocolate. I never want to do an event like this without sharing the gospel. When I am doing activities that serve I make sure that everyone understands that I am a Christian and I am doing this for the gospel.
Please pray to a young lady named Kaitlin. I shared the gospel with her and it was the first time she heard the message and it made sense to her. I shared the gospel with a young man named Joel. He was not sure that God existed however I walked him through the good person test and he said he would be guilty. I was able to give him the good news that if he repented and trusted Jesus paid his fine that he would go to heaven. I then was able to spend some time reasoning with him about his desire for justice if something bad happened to a friend as well as he desire for mercy if he got caught doing something bad. I told him that he is made in God's image. I showed him that he wanted to pick a religion because it was true and show him that the Christian World view matches reality. Pray for Joel.
Pitt is a long time witnessing fishing hole. I have been witnessing at Pitt for about 10 years now. I have handed out thousands of tracts through the years and witnessing to hundreds of people if not more.
Right now I am teaching the students about what other religions believe. It has been good to see how important the different parts of Christian doctrine are and what a difference a few changes can make. We went through what do Mormons and JW's believe this past month.
I try to get down to the abortion clinics each month however that is the hardest place to minister. This past week I was able to share the gospel with other 10 people. It was very exciting. I did not stand right outside of the clinic and since the escorts did not know I was down the block a bit I was able to talk to many people without lots of trauma.
I am preparing to go to San Francisco to share the gospel at the Superbowl. Please pray for this event. I want many to come to Christ and for God to be glorified through all that I do.
Please pray for my fundraising. I need to raise my monthly support to remain in ministry.
I am training up 2 new campus leaders. Pray for both of the campus leaders.
