Christians are called to be ambassadors
We are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Cor 5:20-21)
Jesus gave Christians the great commission to go into all the world and make disciples. We are to go and share the truth of Christ. If you are a Christian you have to ask yourself are you obeying the great commission?
Christians are called to preach the gospel publicly. Jesus preached the gospel in the streets. John the Baptist preached in the open air. Noah was a preacher of righteousness. Peter and Paul preached the gospel in the streets and market places.
Christians are to give truth with gentleness and respect.
In your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. 1 Peter 3:15-16
Christians do need to give the truth. So a Christian should not lie to you and say that your sin is ok. Christians should be loving enough to tell you that your sin will send you to hell. God does send sinners to Hell. Christians are supposed to tell people this with gentleness and respect. Christians are to tell the truth of the gospel in a way that does not cause people to slander the name of Christ due to their behavior.
Christians are to be known for their love for each other.
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35)
Jesus is the one that will Judge.
Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. (Romans 8:34)
What are things that God will judge us for?
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God Jesus died for us if we repent and trust in him." (2Cor 6:9-11)
Christians do not earn their salvation. They have done all the same sins that you have done. They are not better people they have just realized that they are not good and need a savior. Jesus died for Christians while they were yet sinners.
"But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that- while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
Not Everyone That Claims To Be Christian Is Going To Heaven (Matthew 7:21-23)
Most important question is are you going to heaven? If you have lied, stolen, lusted or hated, you have earned an eternal punishment. Jesus is fully God so he can pay our fine when he died on the cross. Jesus is fully man so he can represent us on the cross. Repent of your belief in your goodness and trust that Jesus paid that fine for you. Read the Bible and obey what it says.
I pray that even through you are upset at those that claim to be Christians, even though they might not be, that you think about your own standing before God.
Christians are not made perfect when they become a Christian. They are just forgiven. They have a journey in sanctification. Sanctification is turning away from breaking God's laws. Christians are to turn away from living for their own desires and live for Christ. Christians will not be perfect until they get to heaven.
