CCN Announces Another Campus Start-Up in Virginia

  • Religion Makes No Sense

    By Jenifer Pepling

I recently talked to a gentleman that said he did not believe in heaven or hell. I asked him why. He stated that he is a religious studies major and said that none of them made sense. I said "so justice doesn't make sense to you?" I explained the justice of God.

I shared the gospel and the gentleman said that he did not like the God of the Old Testament because he was homosexual. He said he was shot at in his home town and God made him this way so how could he say that was wrong. I explained that homosexuality is a sin and he told me that word did not exist. I said that even though that word did not exist at the time, you understand what the Bible means by "If a man lies with a male as with a woman." (Leviticus 20:13)

Sadly, he walked away saying we should agree to disagree. Please pray for him.

CCN Announces Another Campus Start-Up in Virginia

Above: New CCN Campus Leader, Chris Basnight preaches the gospel open-air.

Once again, the Lord has saw fit to raise up another laborer in CHANGE Collegian Network (CCN) to sow into college students - the future leaders of the church. Chris Basnight is our newest addition to the CCN Campus Leadership team and is planting a fellowship at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Virginia. The first fellowship kicked-off with 4 ODU students. Please pray for the growth and charter of this fellowship!

If you are a student interested in attending CCN at ODU and helping us become official on campus, please contact Chris at CCNODU@gmail.com. We want to see CCN chartered at ODU as an official club on campus!

Chris began biblically evangelizing two years ago and leads evangelism training and outreaches for his local church home. In the summer of 2011, he attended Striving for Eternity's Jersey Fire, an annual evangelism conference and outreach held in New Jersey, where CCN taught Evangelism 101. After being surprised and greatly impressed by watching the CCN college students assist and lead at the event, witness and open-air preach, he decided to apply for Campus Leadership, stating that he never saw youth so bold, on fire, and knowledgeable about sharing their faith before.
