CCN April 2014 Update

  • A Soft Answer Turns Away Wrath

    By Dennis Miranda

I recently had a witnessing encounter with two students. Matt is Roman Catholic and his friend Nate is an agnostic. Midway through our conversation, something that Matt said prompted me to pause for a moment and hand each of them an invite to our Bible study.

However, during that break, Nate, who earlier admitted he didn't believe in God, took a moment to say how much he appreciated the way I spoke to them. He was sincere and I believe he used the word 'respectful'.

This was an encouragement to me but also important for me because the last thing I want is to purposely offend or come across as offensive. The gospel, to some, is offensive enough. 1 Peter 3:15

CCN April 2014 Update

CCN had several DVD give aways this month.   Jen began the month with Happy Atheist Day at the University of Pittsburgh.    We handed out about 2200 EvolutionvsGod DVD's.

CCN had a DVD giveaway giveaway at a university in Cincinnati as well.  Here is some pictures of that giveaway.

Ryan spoke about Evolution and Jesus outside that day.

We had a DVD giveaway at CCNY as well.

Tim got a table at Regent University to hand out DVD's.  He went back two times to handout the DVD's.

The second week of the month we had a DVD giveaway  at Slippery Rock.  We got to have many good conversations.

At the end of the month we gave away most of the DVD's that we had left at Duquesne University.  It was a successful outreach.

One week Jen went over to CMU.  We had so many great conversations.  The one young lady that Jen talked to was from India and an Ex- Catholic.  Jen walked her through some apologetics and the young lady gave the conclusions before Jen had to she understood.  Please pray for that young lady.  Jen also had a great conversation with a muslim young man that Jen believed went very well.

Here is a picture of Laura speaking to students at CMU.

God Bless you and thank you for your partnership and support.
