June 2013

I spoke at a Crash Course in Stamford Connecticut. We had about 50 people attend the training. After the training we hit the streets to share our faith. We had 30 of the participants go out and share their faith. We were blessed to see many people share their faith for the first time verbally. Many handed out tracts for the first time and several people shared the gospel open air for the first time.

We are still having fellowships through the summer. We have talked about Idolatry and showed that none of us could even keep the first of the 10 commandments. We looked at the beauty of how Jesus did keep this commandment in the way that he lived his life and when he died on the cross. We talked about apologetics and how to use them out on the streets.

We had outreach at the Strip District. The Strip District has become one of my favorite fishing holes since people are just window shopping and not really there to do something specific. We had the opportunity to share the gospel 1-2-1 verbally with over 30 people in just 1 day. We handed out hundreds of gospel tracts.

At Planned Parenthood we tried to stop mothers from killing their babies as well as share the gospel with the mothers as well. The one woman that I talked to told me that she was not going into Planned Parenthood. I told her that I did not believe her and then started taking her through the good person test. She asked “What are you doing now I told you I was not going in?” I told her that I was trying to get her into heaven. She dropped her head and admitted she was headed into Planned Parenthood and spend time talking about the gospel and her other options.

Outreach at Pitt this month has been a rough one. I have had many long conversations with atheists. Last night I talked to a women named Jess and the conversation was very long did not seem like it was going anywhere. She was headed to France to live in a few months and she grew up in a Christian home but did not believe in the Christian God. I asked her “Is there anything I could say that would make you repent and trust Jesus?” Her demeanor changed and she said I want you to tell me something that would make me believe. I want to believe. I do not know what you could tell me that would convince me. We talked for a few more minutes and it was very personable after that.
