November 2018 Update
Steve was inspired to start going out and witnessing with me each week after I spoke at his church. This is a picture of the first time he shared the gospel. This young man came back and talked to us about 3 or 4 weeks later. He was grateful for us sharing the gospel and for me impressing on him that he needed a church. He stopped to thank us and tell us that he is now going to church and he is taking his wife and child to church as well each week. He wanted us to know that we were changing lives.
This young man is from Brazil. He was grateful to hear the gospel. He had lots of questions that I was able to answer. I was able to give this student more information to read after I witnessed to him. I carry Bibles and longer tracts for followup.
The conversation started with Tom telling Laura that he loved her scarf that had notes on it. Laura spent about 45 minutes talking to this young man even though it was 32 degrees and he had no coat on. She was able to transition from music to the gospel using Psalms. It turned out that Tom grew up Catholic and is in the process of becoming Jewish. Laura had him explain Passover and when he could not explain the meaning of the Passover she explained it to him. Then she showed Jesus as the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Pray that Tom comes out for Bible Study.
We were able to hand out tracts at the holiday parade and share the gospel with people after we handed out tracts. People gave us a a happy response of Merry Christmas as we handed out tracts. We handed out Christmas Card tracts at the parade and everyone loved them.
