  • As followers of Christ, remember that we are "sojourners"

The Bible often reminds us as followers of Christ that we are "sojourners", "pilgrims" (1 Peter 2:11-12), strangers in a strange land if you will.  And last month's outreach booth at the Mars Apple Festival in Mars, PA was no exception. (They literally have a spaceship in the middle of their town!!)

Here Dennis, Assistant Campus Leader at Pitt, is speaking with a woman at our booth sharing with her the gospel of Jesus Christ.  While we have the wonderful privilege of doing so and meeting many different people along the way, one common thread we've noticed running through each person regardless of race, color, creed, or religion is the erroneous belief in goods works as a means for one's salvation.  To which we continually point to the finished work of Christ on the cross and to Bible passages such as Ephesians 2:8,9.

Andre, Leader of Discipleship with CCN, took his youth group out again this month to share the gospel in the streets of Pottstown, PA.  Both Andre and Campus Leader Cliff (not shown) have been faithful to share the gospel in that area for years.  Please pray for a revival in that town and may God be glorified!

Slippery Rock University Campus Leader Matthew met with a young man that came and sought him out him.  The student wanted to meet with Matt and see what he was doing on campus.  Matthew then proceeded to graciously walk him through the gospel.  During their discussion Matthew became aware that the young man possessed some un-biblical views.  So he spent the remainder of the time showing him what the Bible says rather than what the student thought it says.  Matt reminded the young man that Jesus was upset with the Sadducees and Pharisees, the religious leaders of His day, because they put the the traditions of men above the word of God.

CCN President Jenifer spoke with a young man recently named Harry at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).  Harry asked some of the most often asked questions a person could ask such as:

    • How do you know there is a God?
    • How do you know which God?
    • Is it the word of God with all those different versions of the Bible?
    • Which God do you believe in the one of the New Testament or the Old Testament? Why did God kill everyone but Noah?
    • Why did God kill all the people before Israel took over?
    • Why does God let bad things happen?

Jen was able to give him answers to all of his questions and Harry was happy to finally get an answer to all them!  Afterwards, Jen gave him a Bible and a book called "The Gospel of God" to encourage this young man to seek after God.  Harry also took her card and said he was going to read through the Bible.  Please pray for Harry.  This was truly a wonderful conversation!

CCN exists for the purpose of proclaiming Christ while warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may "present every man perfect in Christ Jesus" (Col. 1:28).

Because of your partnership with this ministry God is answering prayers and providing the necessary resources needed in order for us to carry out the Great Commission.  Thank you once again for your faithfulness to the gospel in ensuring that it is being preached unto every creature (Mk.16:15)!

  • CCN August News: Repent & Witness 2018, Local Outreach Booths, Rep and Prep

With August there certainly came the heat but that's not all this month brought forth. Through CCN the LORD spread the gospel like wildfire!

    Repent & Witness

In what has become one of CCN's largest annual outreaches in one of the most diverse cities in the U.S. hundreds have come under the sound of the Gospel call in the gritty streets and subways of New York City through faithful disciples of Christ and campus missionaries.

    R&W Team 2018

    Doubly Blessed

Over the years God has blessed CCN with many outreach opportunities in our local communities.  This month CCN had not one but TWO outreach booths in Pittsburgh running simultaneously - Christian Praise Fest and Richland Community Days!  Please pray to the Lord of the Harvest that as He continues to provide increasing opportunities for ministry He will also send forth laborers into His harvest (Mt. 9:38).

Christian Praise Fest & Richland Community Days

    Rep & Prep

Representing not only our Savior and Lord but the CCN ministry as well aboard college campuses takes a great deal of preparation.  Which is why at the beginning of each school year CCN participates in what is called "Rep & Prep".  Please pray for our Campus Leaders and their students whom they are discipling that they would successfully labor towards reaching their goals and objectives for the 2018-2019 school year.

A Special Message For Our Donors...

Finally, CCN would like to thank all of our donors for their continued support of this ministry. Your faithful contributions make this possible!

  • June 2015 Ministry Update

Meet hector. A man with much learning but still confused. It was an interesting conversation, He shared how he was raise catholic, then was a Christian, then a Pentecostal, Mormon etc. He actually was supposed to be working at the time, but enjoyed the conversation. Brother Luis, de Jesus offer to bring him a copy of Case for Christ the following day and followed through on that promise.

Ryan had a Witnessing Academy at the Creation Muesum.  It was a wonderful conference.  The Mike Riddel taught us to ask 3 questions.  "How do you know it's true?", "Has it ever been observed?", "Are you making any assumputions?"

A few pictures from the Martureó Academy outreach at the Cincinnati Gay Pride Festival. Yes, we all survived and stayed out of jail. Many even thanked us for being there AND for being so loving! (The message was NOT watered down, just given Biblically and compassionately.)

Of course Ryan had to do a few interviews for Witness Talk Radio.

Andre and Cliff held a Witnessing Event as well in Pottstown.  They did a training and then went out to witness the next day at the Pottstown Rumble a huge Volleyball tournament in their area. Here is Cliff doing a wonderful job teaching about why we need to use the law before we share grace with nonbelievers.

The outreach at the event went very well.  People heard a biblical gospel.

  • Update August 2013

August was full of God honoring ministry.   The Leadership Summit was successful, the Campus Leaders met the new Leadership of CCN.  We talked about the Vision of CCN: to evangelize the lost and disciple the found.  We are going to train up the next generation of soul winning leaders.  Every one of the Campus Leaders was greatly encouraged by the direction.  We made changes to the way CCN will be run.  Campus Leaders now have more control over what happens on their own campuses, and they are being provided additional support for the cost of tracts and other materials they regularly need on the Campuses.

Repent and Witness, which is 4 days and 4 nights of witnessing went great.  We handouted tracts and open air evangelize and witness 1 -2 -1.  We went to places like Union Square, Washington Square, Times Square and Central Park.  We preached in each location and we even preached on the subway system while going from 1 location to another.  Here is a picture of our Repent and Witness missionaries.

I enjoyed sharing the gospel with large crowds in Washington Square.

We had church outside on Sunday and we had some of out hecklers from Saturday join us for the service.  We has several people that open air preached this week as well.  We often use trivia and IQ tests to gather a crowd to share the gospel.

We preached at the Statton Island Fairy and thousands of people get to hear the gospel.

If you want to see more pictures go here.

CCN had a booth at the PineRichland Community Days.  It was cool that we were able to talk to people that we had talked to the year before.  Everyone who stopped by went through the gospel and got a teddy bear, a tract and a Bible (if they wanted one).  I got a letter from the township thanking us for participating in the event.  It is a great day when you can share the gospel and get asked to come back and do it next year.

CCN taught an Evangelism Crash Course in Philidelphia.  We meet the young lady that asked us to do it at an outreach.  She was so encouraged by our outreach that she contacted us to do a Crash Course.   The students learned so much and they went out and shared the gospel after the Crash Course.

Here is a testimony about the Crash Course from Amynah a Campus Leader:

"Last year, at an outreach in Philly, I handed a girl a gospel tract and proceeded to share the gospel with her, little did I know the girl was already saved. In fact, she was the leader of a youth group at her local church. A year later, the same girl went on the CCN website, which was located at the bottom of the tract I gave her and she requested to host a CCN Crash Course at her church for her youth group (which consists of mostly 13-15 year old). After five hours of evangelism training, we took the entire group out to a local area to share the gospel and it was amazing! The students instantly engaged into conversations with many different people and passed out many gospel tracts. A young boy even said he wanted to do it again next Saturday. It's amazing seeing the fruit that can come from one simple gospel tract a year later."

The following week CCN took a team down to the Planned Parenthood.  This was the first time down there for some and the second time for others.  Some of the team had does this for years.  We ended up driving a young lady home from downtown who was having issues.  We talked to many people before they went in.  We pray that some of those people that were going into make an appointment decided not to have an abortion.

The Fall Semester is about to begin.  Please Pray for all the Campus Leaders.

Thank You so much for your support.  The CCN Team would not be able to do all of these things without your support.

    A Message to the Saints

God continues to build His ministry, CCN, by using students, many of whom have since graduated, to believe in the vision and to work together to further the message of the gospel on the college campuses, and then to pass the torch to a new generation of soul winners!

We stand in awe of what God is doing for His glory through the college students today: rapidly multiplying students who open-air preach and witness biblically, emboldening students to publicly worship the Lord in the open air, causing students to seek the Lord in group and personal prayer, granting a thirst for His Word and apologetics, and holiness...

We invite all of our CCN alumni and friends from over the years to come out and to share a day with us and the new generation of soul winners, as we celebrate our LORD JESUS and His glorious gospel!

We pray that we will see you there!

  • "Men and The Gospel: Assembly & Outreach": A Unique Men's Event

Men and the Gospel: Assembly &Outreach

CHANGE Collegian Network is a ministry that is about putting actions to words and feet to the Great Commission (Mark 16:15). In keeping with this biblical mindset, CCN now presents its first men's only event, entitled Men and The Gospel: Assembly & Outreach, which follows up our recent first annual women's retreat, Issues of the Heart

What makes this conference unique is the call. Men and The Gospel is a call for young Christian men worldwide to pursue maturity and to take their place as spiritual warriors, contending for the truth biblically, unabashedly, intentionally, and without compromise.

Along with the command to pursue a holy, Christ-centered lifestyle, men will be challenged to become contenders for the faith and not slip into the mindset of today's western culture - a culture that encourages men to keep their faith and convictions to themselves while quietly tolerating every anti-biblical ideology. At the same time, the event is designed to allow men to have the freedom express themselves, talk about real issues that affect men, and receive prayer.

While the Bible and the gospel of Jesus Christ are being challenged with great force both intellectually and physically all over the world, and especially on the college campus, will there be godly men to boldly contend for and proclaim truth? Will God raise up a generation of Daniels, John the Baptists, and Pauls, who are willing to lay down their life for the faith as Christ laid down his life for the church?

Men and The Gospel is an intimate gathering that calls this generation of men to pick up these spiritual weapons and fight like a man.
