Recruiting! Field Evangelism Team @ Large Youth Outdoor Music Festival

  • Changing lives on the college campuses!

Jen asked this young man if he had a question about God and he said no.  So she asked him if she could ask him a question.  She asked him if he died today if he would go to heaven or hell.  He said that he would go to heaven.  Jen walked him through a few of the 10 commandments to show him that he was guilty.  He said that he believed in karma and did not believe in heaven or hell.  Jen told him, Karma says you have to pay for your sins and it makes sense you would end up in hell.  He agreed and did not want to go to hell.  Jen told him to imagine he stood before a judge and the judge said you either have to pay a million dollar fine or go to prison.  A person runs in and says I love you so much that I will pay your fine.  Would that be good news?  He said it would be good news.  Jen explained that Jesus is the one that paid the fine.  Jen asked him what he thought about all that she had told him.  He said he needed a Bible.  She asked him to watch her stuff so and went to her car can got him and his friend a Bible.    Please pray for him.

Eric and Ryan have been using the IQ test on the campus to start gospel conversations with the students. Recently, a student (Trevor) came by and after going through the IQ test they asked him if he thought he was good enough to get to Heaven when he died. He said no which is uncommon so Ryan asked him why he answered that way and the student answered because only Jesus is good enough to get us to Heaven which is the right answer but not one we often hear.
Ryan decided to probe further into his spiritual background by using the three-minute test. Trevor actually knew the Gospel and was able to articulate it well. Praise God! What began as a witnessing encounter became a time of fellowship and discipleship. Please pray that Ryan and Eric would have more opportunities like this as they minister on the campus.

Here is a picture of a bible study at Montgomery County Community College. Andre the campus leader taught about how to confront sinners with the gospel. We not only witness to students but we invite them to Bible Study and train them up to go and do the same.

After we train up the students to share the gospel we take them out onto the streets so they can use their new knowledge.  When people get saved they need to learn how to share the gospel.  CNN goes out and makes disciples that go out and make disciples.
