  • Partnering with other Ministries

Campus Leader, Andre, is supporting his church by leading a week long outreach at his church. He was able to teach the children and share the gospel.

Leah spent a week volunteering for Joni and Friends. She spent time with children and their families.

Campus Leader, Cliff, helped out with Vacation Bible School at his church. Here are a few of the students that attended the program.

Jenifer was asked to speak at the Vacation Bible School at her church.  She shared the gospel with the children and taught them how to share the gospel with other kids.

Jenifer also spent a few weekends training up a young man that is feeling convicted to do abortion ministry.  Jen took him to the abortion clinic several weeks to help him learn the ropes.  Jen was able to minister to several people that go out to the clinic and minister each week.  One of the gentlemen was not sure of his salvation.  About an hour was spent on how a person knows they are saved and sanctification.

Ryan, Leah, and Eric spent several days at their local clinic sharing the gospel and pleading with women to not have an abortion.  They had a turn away this month, which means a baby was saved.

  • Planning and Preparing

Frank one of our new Campus Leaders was on campus this month connecting with students and sharing the gospel.

May is all about planning out the summer and fall outreaches and planning out the fall teaching schedule. However we are all about outreach. Here Cliff is sharing the gospel with a group at a CCN outreach. Cliff is great at apologetics and sharing the gospel.

Cliff is always willing to sit down and read a gospel tract to a person that cannot see the words that are on the tracts. The words on some of the tracts are a little small and he is then able to explain the gospel a little bit more fully.

Ryan did a wonderful job with Witness Radio this month. Here he is interviewing Roger Patterson to create a radio show on World Religions & Cults.

We love going out with others in the community to share the gospel. Jenifer and Mary went to a Pittsburgh Pirates game to share the gospel with as many people as would listen.

  • Sharing the Gospel

This month students went out and shared the Gospel.  Generally we go and share the gospel before Bible Study.  Here is a picture of B'jorn handing out tracts at Pitt.  He was very spirited in handing out tracts.  It is always so exciting to see students handing out tracts and being bold for the gospel.

Andre loves to have CCN Saturdays and share the gospel in his local town.  He is able to minister to many in his area each month.

People sometimes question why we hand out tracts however I see people reading them all the time.  Here is a student that was given a tract on a college campus reading a tract given to him a few minutes before.  We have been told by Christian college students that after we are there handing out tracts that they are able to get into gospel conversations with people talking about the tracts that were handed out.

CCN teaming with the local church to bring Good News to the snowy streets of New York City!  CCN loves the local church and supports it with outreaches, free training and new converts.

Ryan loves to handout tracts as well.  Below is Ryan giving tracts to the Mascots!

George attended the Super Bowl outreach and shared the gospel.  Many people were receptive to hear the good news.

Jen  attended the Super Bowl Outreach as well.   Jen was able to get lots of conversations by asking people to be on Witness Radio.  Here is a picture of Jen witnessing to one group of people at the Super Bowl.

Jen was also able to have many good conversations about the gospel with people open air.  Jen said "I love to do the good person test open air so that many people can hear the gospel.  I used pictures of famous people to draw a crowd and then take people through the good person test."   Here is Jen sharing the gospel with a group of people at the Super Bowl Outreach.

If you do not know what the good person test is then here is a general outline.

If you died today would you go to heaven or hell?  Here is a quick test.  Have you ever lied, stolen, lusted, hated or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you hate someone you have murdered them in your heart.  If you have done even one of these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer and murder at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in Hell.  Imagine if you were guilty and standing before a judge.  He said you either have to pay a million dollar fine or go to prison.  Someone that loves you runs into the courtroom and pays your fine.  You would be able to go free.  This is what Jesus did for you 2000 years ago.  You broke God’s Law and Jesus paid your fine. When Jesus died on the cross that was him taking the wrath of God in your place.  Imagine if your parent paid your fine in court.  They would tell you to never do that again.  That would be reasonable.  That is what Jesus tells us.  Repent, turn away from your sins.    Three days after Jesus died on the cross Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death.  Repent and trust Jesus, and God will remit your sins.   Then read the Bible daily and obey it. The only way to heaven is to repent and trust Jesus.

Jen spoke at a breakfast this past month about how to show evolution is not logical.  Everyone was encouraged learning how to disprove evolution.

    Thank you for your partnership.

  • November Praise Report

CCN exists to train up its students to go out and share the gospel.  This month one of the Pitt students shared the gospel with another Pitt student.   The new college student at Pitt joined us at Bible Study.  He was headed home for Thanksgiving later that day and could not wait to ask his Grandmother for a Bible.  Jen asked him if he wanted one and he did and so Jen gave him a Bible.  He was so excited about joining us for Bible Study that we are going to have Bible Study the week of finals.  Pray that he reads his Bible the entire way home to Philadelphia.

Jen finished teaching through John Frames book "Apologetics to the Glory of God."  We learned all about Presuppositional Apologetics.   The students now know how to show others that Christianity true because it resembles reality.  We learned about many different ways to show that the God of the Bible and specifically Chrisitan God is the only logical God.  The students discovered that you cannot have logic or morality outside of the Christian Worldview.  It was powerful to show the students that all other world views do not have legs to stand on.

The NYC Campuses ministered at an abortion clinic in their area.  Here is a picture of Diane pleading with those that are going inside.

The MCCC Campus went out proclaiming repentance and faith in Jesus Christ in Pottstown this month as they always do.  Here is Andre preaching the good news to people waiting at the local bus stop.

Tim at Tidewater Community College had many great conversations on his campus about the Gospel.

Some of Tim's students came out and shared the gospel several times this month.  They helped hand out Evolution vs God DVD's as well and hand out tracts on other days.  It is so exciting to see the students going out and sharing their faith.

We  handed out tracts at the Christmas Parade in downtown Pittsburgh.  We handed out Christmas Postcards at this parade.  The Christmas postcards were very easy to handout.  We handed out the same tract last year.  People were very excited to recieve the tract.

Each week we are able to speak to many students about the gospel on the campuses.    This month Jen had several second conversations with people.  A young man named Ben who is a Buddhist came up to talk with Jen a second time.  Jen had talked to him about a month ago and then this past week he walked right up to Jen so they could talk some more.  It was a great second conversation.  They talked about the fact that if it was natural for people to die then why was it so upsetting that they died.  Jen explained to him that we were wired to live forever and not meant to die.  We were made in God's image.  He really understood and said that resinated with him.  Pray for Ben.

Bible Study is going great in Cincinnati.  We are so excited to have Ryan teaching there.  He does www.witnesstalkradio.org during his outreaches.  It is great to be able to hear many of the conversations that he has witnessing with students.

Thank you so much for your support!

  • August 2014 Praise Report

The Students are back at school on many campuses.  We have many new students that are excited about going out and sharing their faith.  We also have many students that are back from last year.  Please pray for the students boldness for this coming semester.

In August we had a booth at the Richland Community Days.  In the picture above, Matt a Slippery Rock Student is witnessing at the booth.  He did a great job sharing his faith.

We were able to share the gospel to so many people at the booth.  We had many groups of young ladies that we were able to share the gospel with.

Within one of the groups that I shared the gospel with I gave the young ladies the Good Person Test.  I asked them if they had Lied, Stolen, and they said yes to both.  Then I told them that if they hate a person they have murdered them in your heart.  I asked them if God judged them by the 10 commandments would they be innocent or guilty.  The young ladies said they would be guilty.  I asked them if they would go to hell and they said they would go to Hell and that it concerned them.  I gave them the following scenario.  If you stood before a judge and you were guilty.  The judge tells you that you have to either pay a million dollar fine or go to prison.  You are unable to pay the fine.  Someone you do not even know runs into the courtroom.  They pay the fine for you.  The judge would be a just judge and the one that paid the fine would be merciful.   If your Dad paid your fine then he would tell you not to do that again and you would think that was reasonable since he paid your fine.   That is what Jesus did for you.  At this point one of the young ladies started to cry.  I explained that Jesus lived a perfect life.  Jesus never stole, lied, hated, lusted.  Jesus never broke any of God's laws.   Jesus healed people and raised people from the dead and he allowed himself to die on the cross.  He died for the laws you broke.  You have to repent and put your faith in Jesus.  Jesus rose from the grave 3 days later showing that he was God and able to forgive sins.  500 people saw him after he rose from the grave.  They young lady cried as she heard this good news.  I told her that salvation is a free gift you can't earn it and you do not deserve it but it is a free gift and she was given a stuffed animal of her choice, a Bible and some tracts.

About 10 minutes later I had another young lady crying after she heard the gospel and she ran away in tears.  I had to chase her down to give her a stuffed animal and a Bible.  There was a older Christian couple standing behind her and they teared up and almost cried seeing her hear the gospel.

CCN has Crash Course in PA this month.  Andre and Cliff did a great job teaching the church how to go out and share their faith.  They took people out afterward to go out and use what they used.   CCN offers free Evangelism Crash Courses.  We just ask that you pay for travel expenses for CCN to get to your church, printing and tract costs.

The picture above is Andre teaching on Apologetics.

Above is a picture of Cliff teaching the Evangelism Crash Course.

For the past few months, Ryan, who is a Campus Leader in Ohio has led the congregation from Hyde Park Baptist Church through the Way of the Master Intermediate Training Course. It was 8 weeks of equipping the saints on how to share their faith biblically. Everyone enjoyed the class and feel better prepared to witness to others. Here's what some of the participants had to say:

"Made me aware of the necessity to share the Gospel"
    "A great confidence booster"
"Got me out of my comfort zone"
"Lots of conviction, which was good"
"Gave me methods and scenarios for witnessing"
"Less afraid than before taking this course"
    "Gave me more tools"

We praise God for such a positive response and for raising up more laborers for the harvest field! Please pray that these people would continue putting into practice what they've learned in this course.

Tim our Campus Leader in Virginia used banner to help him get into conversations during a local outreach.

Hundreds of people hear the gospel in a 1-2-1 fashion each month through CCN.

Nick and Jenifer were able to serve at "Jesus Loves Chinatown"  in New York City. We both were  team leads for a group of attendees.  I was given the opportunity to teach open air evangelism.  Nick Taught on pride in ministry.  The students loved all the new things that they learned.  They used the boards that I taught them to use during the outreaches to share the gospel so many people. It was hard to decide which pictures to show you.  Here is me teaching

    .

The boards really help start great conversations.  It does not matter if you are doing open air or you are just hanging out by the boards and waiting for people to stop by and talk about the IQ tests.

These students in the picture above are from China and only speak Mandrin.  Peter was able to take them through the good person test in their own language.  They were drawn to talk to us by the IQ test boards.  Their handler came by and dragged several away while Peter gave the gospel but 2 of them stayed to hear the entire message.  Pray that the 2 tell the others the good news of Jesus.

Above you can see some young people hearing the gospel after they had taken the IQ tests.

One of the women Diane sent me in an email after the training:  "in these past days I shared the gospel to a Polish woman who laid in a towel near my sister and I at the beach.  I would not  have found the courage to do this before the training!  I went up to her, while my sister half-jokingly told me (in one of the languages we both speak):" hey, crazy woman...what are you doing?"  I went up there...a chat was started...before I knew, she was in tears, asking me to pray for her!!"

People are changed by going to a several day training.  Please consider signing up for Repent and Witness.  At Repent and Witness you get training to share your faith and then plenty of time out on the streets spending time sharing your faith.

School started at Pitt and at Slippery Rock.  I have been using the boards on the campuses.  I have had so many amazing conversations on the campuses about the gospel.  The first day at PITT I was able to share the gospel with 2 young ladies from mainland China, a muslim young lady, 1 buddhist young man, I spent 45 minutes talking to a homosexual Jewish man in a blue dress.  The Jewish man did go from not believing in absolute truth to seeing absolute truth and a just God was a reasonable thing.   He did see how Jesus could be in Isaiah 53.  The conversation with the man in the Jewish man in the blue dress ended with him not wanting to be a Christian because he did not want to live forever.  I tried to explain that he was either going to live forever in hell or in heaven.  He did not understand that was not an option and walked away.  I have just been so blessed by all the 1 -2 - 1 conversations that I had this year.

Thank You for your support.  We could not do all of these things without you.

  • March 2014 Update

Ryan, was given 6000 gospel tracts by a wonderful donor.  He got a wonderful team together to hand out tracts at the St Patrick Day Parade in Cincinnati.

Ryan also participated in the Biggest Question Project.  He had a team give out thousands of DVD's at a major university in Cincinnati.

Ryan loves witnessing to the students on campus.  Ryan uses an interview style to witness to the students.

Amynah the Campus Leader at CCNY said lots of new and exciting things happened at CCNY this month.  For fellowship this month, students learned from The Way of the Master  basic training DVD's and were encouraged and equipped on how to effectively share the Biblical Gospel message. One student commented that she really liked the Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort's method of evangelism, and that she'd never heard the gospel shared in such an easy way. New students also unashamedly joined in for many outreaches and even helped to pass out hundreds of Living Waters' Genius DVD's. The student in the picture below is a freshman student who is bravely handing a Genius DVD to her peers!

This month the NYC Campus Leaders had a chance to labor with their local churches, from feeding the poor, to going door to door witnessing. As those who are zealous for evangelism, it’s our desire to see our own local church catch the same fire!  We encourage the students at CCN fellowships to go to church and participate in their local churches.

Tim our Campus Leader in Virginia witnessed to students at CHOWAN this month.  He gave out tracts and witnessed to the students.

Jenifer Pepling witnesses at Slippery Rock alone each week so she does not have pictures from witnessing up there.  However, Jen loves talking to the students at Slippery Rock.  Jen has talked to many of the students more than 1 time.  Last week Jen talked to a young lady that she had talked to before.  The student told Jen that she watches what she says since she talked to Jen last time.   The Slippery Rock Student has been working on being a better person.  Jen told her she was very proud of her for working on repentance, but she needed to trust Jesus paid the fine for all the wrong things she had done.  Jen told the student that trusting Jesus was necessary to get into heaven.  The student told Jen that she hoped that next time she talked to Jen that Jen would be even more proud of her because she was going to trust Jesus paid her fine.  Jen invited her to Bible study again.

Being on the campus week after week witnessing to the students is a huge blessling.  We love being on the same campus week after week and the impact we can make because we witness at the same place every week.

Pittsburgh Campus Leader Jen was given and handed out 9000 gospel tracts.  We handed them out at the St Patrick Day parade.  We handed them out in under 2 hours.  We got the gospel into thousands of peoples hands.  Handing out tracts at the parades is one of the easiest outreaches.  If you are ever thinking about joining us and can walk a mile or so then this is the outreach for you.  You just have to say did you get one of these 1000 times and all the tracts are given out.

We are able to go on the parade and just walk up the side and hand out the tracts without issues.

Jen went to 2 different abortion clinics this month.  Jen spent time at the one in East Liberty.  We wrote on the sidewalk with chalk.  We love doing this, because it is a witness even after you leave.

However sometimes right after you write with chalk on the ground the deathscorts come out with a bucket of water and a broom and undo all that you did.  Jen had more chalk so she wrote with chalk again after they undid it.  Jen did not write it in all the same locations but many of them.

Jen said: "The surprising thing about going to the abortion clinics is how many people I get to share the gospel with.  It is the gospel that saves and so that is the most important message I share with people.  I talked with a young man named Jamel the day that this chalk picture was taken.  I walked him through the good person test and he said that he had broken all of them.  I explained that he would end up in hell and that concerned him.  I showed him that if we were in a court of law and was guilty he would still have to pay the fine even if he confessed and promised not to do it again.  He understood why Jesus died on the cross when I went through the gospel with him.  I asked him if had a Bible at home and he did not.  I asked him if he wanted one and he did.  He walked with me to the car and got a Bible.  He walked by later in the day and thanked me and said hello."

The picture above was taken of Jen in front of Planned Parenthood after the St Patrick day Parade in Pittsburgh.  Jen tells us this "It was in the afternoon so no one that I saw went into the clinic while I was there but there are bars on either side of the clinic and I leaned up against the tree there and handed out million dollar bills as people went by.  I was able to witness to several people.  One young man that I talked to for a long time let me know that if he was able to repent of his homosexuality that he would have a drink with me in heaven.   He heard the gospel and was not offended.  Pray he gets saved. "

At Pitt we spent every Wednesday morning witnessing to students and whoever will talk to us.  We have been surprised about how many people have talked to us even though it has been cold.  We have been going to Pitt for so many years I am always surprised that there are people down there that we have not talked to.  Aunt Laura and I are probably considered part of the culture at Pitt at this point.  The seniors that graduated Pitt last year did not know life without us coming down and handing out tracts and talking to people.  Please pray for all the people that we have talked to through the years.

Thank You so much for your support.  We could not do any of this without your support.
