I have changed my presence on the campus a bit. I sit on a stool while witnessing these days since, I have arthritis. I used to walk around most days and talk to people. I now find a spot on campus and setup a stool. Some days I just hand out tracts from my stool. Some days I have a sign that I setup behind me to help draw people to talk to me. I have found this new method helpful to me starting conversations. In some cases it has caused more people to come and talk to me, to see what I am all about.
It was a wonderful month of outreach. I ran into the young man that I gave a Bible to last month and he was so excited to tell me he had read the Bible I gave him last month every day since I gave it to him. I just about cried when he told me.
I talked to a soldier that did not grow up in the church and thought that most wars were started by religions. I explained that only 7% of war deaths were due to religions and that they were all because of sin. He heard the gospel and understood.
I talked to a young man that passed me by on my stool and then came back to talk to me. He heard the gospel for the first time and said it was good news and he would read his Bible.
A young women who is a pagan stopped me as I was walking to Bible Study and said was that you sitting on the stool in the court yard? What was that about? I shared the gospel with her. She did not change over but I gave her a few things to think about. 1 not all religions can be true. 2 you should pick one based on the fact that its world view looks like reality 3 that we are moral beings and believe in justice and the God of the Bible is moral and just. Pray for all the people that I talked to.
I was given a change to share the gospel at my churches Truck or Treat. I enjoyed the opportunity to serve in this way.
