Brian Moody
I became a Christian in February 2016. I
started reading this devotional called “The Love Dare” it went through the
ten commandments and shared the gospel. I also watched the movie
associated with it called “Fireproof” which also went through the ten
commandments and shared the gospel. Around the same time, I started
reading the Bible, which my parents gave be back in 2009 for my high
school graduation. I was being convicted a lot from all this reading of
scripture. I ended up realizing through the power of God that I was a
sinner, that if I were to die right now I would justly go to Hell, and
for the first time, the gospel made sense. What really overwhelmed me was
His loving kindness that I experienced while being shown my sin, it was
this loving kindness that drew me to repentance (Romans 2:4) and knowing
He died for me while I was yet a sinner (Romans 5:8). It changed my
life. The things I used to have no interest in, I was very interested
in. The things I used to be interested in, I was not interested in. I
was born again (John 3:3). Made a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). It leads me to throw out all my trash music, movies, and video games. I
believe my mom might have thought I had lost my mind, but I was never
more in my right mind than once, I was saved. At the start of the
pandemic, I started watching the “Living Waters” YouTube channel, I
ended up realizing that Kirk Cameron, who was in “Fireproof” was
connected to Ray Comfort and the evangelism method I heard years back
was the method of evangelism that Ray Comfort does and is backed up by
the Bible.
Why CCN?
God has really given me a heart for young people. They are getting sucked in by so many lies Satan is putting out there, and I really love getting to share the truth of the gospel and other biblical truths with them and enjoy seeing God work inside of them through His truth and seeing them be changed by God’s word and them growing. Also, knowing these young people are the future leaders of our nation and world, it brings joy to my heart knowing they are not beyond God saving them and using them in the future for His purposes and glory
